Winemaker Review: This bright, soft Merlot comes from a hilly vineyard on the Alcesti family estate in beautiful Sicily. It has hints of red cherries and freshly cut hay. Exceptional value.
My Review: The nose on this wine was great, with hints of cherries and darker fruits. The taste was not quite as good, it had a few tannins, but was relatively light-medium bodied. It was decent for the price, but was not a great wine in my opinion.
