Vintage Cellar Review: A vibrant Chardonnay from vineyards in cooler climates of California. Chardonnay is well known for its characteristic fresh apple fruit aromas and rounded, rich flavors. Weather during the 2011 harvest provided ideal growing conditions for lush, yet perfectly balanced fruit.
My Review: This was not a Chardonnay that I'm use to experiencing, which is sweet and acidic. It was very smooth and creamy, which seems to be characteristic of California Chardonnay. There was nothing over the top about it, but the simplicity really goes a long way if there is consistency all the way through the finish like there was in this wine.
