Name: Protocolo Vino de la Tierra de Castilla
Variety: Tempranillo

Country: Spain
Year: 2012

Winemaker Review: Mostly Airen with a little bit of Macabeo. Greenish gold. Subtle aromas of mint, lemon and orange, with a hint of honeysuckle. Dry, understated and focused, offering clean citrus and melon flavors and slow-building sweetness. Finishes dry and brisk, with an echo of lemon. As usual, this is an outstanding value.

My Review: This was a dry white wine that had very citrusy aromas. It smelled sweet but was quite the opposite with a hint of citrus in the finish. It was a smooth, but didn't have a lot going on. It seemed as though it would be a great complement for a simple appetizer like crackers and cheese.
