Winemaker Review: Cotes de Castillon, Bordeaux, France- Produced predominantly from Merlot grapes in vineyards bordering St. Emilion, this medium-bodied, round and supple wine offers delicious flavors of black fruit, cedar and cassis ending with a lush finish. Try it with chicken, beef or veal.
My Review: We had this red blend with chicken marsala for dinner. The wine itself was medium-bodied with smooth tannins which really complemented both the chicken and the sauce. I enjoyed the hints of darker fruits and even a little oak that were in this wine. I was very satisfied with the pairing that we came up with.
Food: Chicken Marsala
